Stormzy among stars remembering killed Grammy winner 08.06.2026

Grammy-winning musician Mark Orabiyi, professionally known as Talay Riley, has died at the age of 35 following a double stabbing incident in Rayleigh Road, Silvertown, east London, which occurred shortly after 09:00 BST on June 5. Orabiyi, a successful singer-songwriter who contributed to hits for artists such as Khalid, Dua Lipa, and Zendaya, was pronounced dead at the hospital. His brother, producer Scribz Riley, confirmed the death, and tributes have poured in from notable figures including Stormzy, Oritse Williams, and Keisha Buchanan, who remembered him as a talented and inspiring individual. The second victim, a man in his 20s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the murder; a 27-year-old man was bailed, while a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released with no further action. The Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigation and appealing for witnesses or footage from the incident.
