Studie: Generation Z sieht sich finanziell bessergestellt – Babyboomer deutlich pessimistischer 22.02.2026

A recent study by TeamBank, based on a survey conducted by YouGov in September 2025 involving 3100 Germans, reveals a stark contrast in financial outlook between Generation Z and Baby Boomers. While many Germans report stagnant or worsening financial situations, with nearly a third experiencing a decline compared to the previous year, 36 percent of 18- to 29-year-olds report an improvement in their finances over the past twelve months. This optimism extends to future expectations, with only 10 percent of Generation Z anticipating financial deterioration in the next three to five years, compared to 41 percent of those aged 50 and older. Despite Baby Boomers being the wealthiest generation historically, they exhibit significantly more pessimism about their financial future.
