Sudden weather fluctuations and light rain in some areas today 05.07.2026

The General Authority for Meteorology issued an official report today, Sunday, July 5, 2026, warning of sudden weather fluctuations, including chances of light rain and the morning "drizzle" phenomenon. The drizzle phenomenon occurs due to rising humidity levels in the atmospheric layers near the Earth's surface, with a 20% probability of occurrence, concentrated in Greater Cairo and the Canal cities. Forecasts also indicated a 20% chance of intermittent rain that may reach moderate levels in parts of the northwestern coasts. The statement explained that increased humidity will raise the perceived temperature by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius above the announced values. Maximum temperatures today will vary, recording 36°C in Cairo, 35°C in Lower Egypt, and 30°C on the northwestern coasts, while reaching 43°C in Upper Egypt.
