The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center announced that the Swiss challenge for the bundled Davao, Bicol, and Siargao airport projects requires approval from the Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) before it can proceed. The P21.61-billion unsolicited proposal, submitted by the Philippine Regional Airports Consortium, exceeds the P15-billion threshold that mandates ICC clearance. The consortium, composed of JG Summit Infrastructure Holding Corp., Filinvest Infra-Solutions Ventures, Inc., and Asian Infrastructure and Management Corp., was granted original proponent status on June 4. The ICC, an arm of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development, will review the proposal before the comparative challenge can begin.
