Swiss pension funds achieved an average return of 6.1 percent in the financial markets in 2025, corresponding to an increase in assets of approximately 80 billion francs. According to the report by the Asset Management Association Switzerland, results varied significantly: the top ten percent of funds achieved returns of 9.1 percent, while the bottom ten percent only reached 3.2 percent. Peter Hody, spokesperson for the industry organization, attributes these differences to factors such as a high proportion of retirees or an over-weighting of low-interest bonds.
