Lara Gut-Behrami, one of the most decorated Swiss Alpine skiers in history, announced her retirement on Thursday, ending a career that spanned nearly two decades. The 35-year-old speed specialist captured Olympic super-G gold at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games and earned three career Olympic medals. She also won world championship titles in super-G and giant slalom in 2021. Her 48 World Cup victories, including 24 in super-G, rank fifth all-time among women, and she was the overall World Cup champion in 2016 and 2024.
