In response to the European Central Bank's stable key interest rate of 2.0 percent, twelve German banks are actively competing for customer deposits by offering attractive Tagesgeld (call money) interest rates, with some reaching up to 3.33 percent. Norisbank leads with 3.33% until June 30, 2026, contingent on opening a free current account and meeting certain conditions, including a bonus for using their account switching service. Distingo and Raisin are offering 3.20% for three months, with Raisin providing flexibility for future investment. Other notable offers include Bank11 at 3.11%, Consorsbank at 3.10%, and Bank of Scotland at 3.03%, all with varying terms and conditions regarding deposit limits, duration of the special rate, and subsequent variable rates. These promotions aim to attract new customers and gather funds amidst a fluctuating economic landscape where Germany's 2025 inflation rate was 2.2%.
