Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni took the stand at the Madlanga Commission on Friday morning, where he is expected to answer questions regarding Kwaggafontein and alleged criminal syndicates. Sibanyoni, who operates a transport empire of about 400 minibus taxis across Gauteng and Mpumalanga, claimed he survived two assassination attempts. He has been identified as an alleged victim in a separate case where underworld figure Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala allegedly attempted to assassinate him during a 2022 ambush.
