A 17-year-old boy, identified as Gurminder Singh, has been named as the victim of a suspected gang-related killing in Surrey, British Columbia. Singh was found deceased in a vehicle on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the 14,300-block of 108A Avenue, triggering an investigation by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT). Police believe the shooting was targeted and connected to ongoing gang conflicts within the Lower Mainland. This incident marks the fifth homicide in Surrey this year, contributing to a concerning pattern of violence. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that might assist in identifying the individuals responsible for Singh's death.
