Tesla darf Cybercabs drahtlos ladenvor 4 Stundenheise Autos 23.02.2026

Tesla has received crucial approval from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to wirelessly charge its autonomous Cybercabs, a significant step towards launching a fully automated taxi service. The FCC granted an exemption for Tesla to use Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology for communication between the vehicles and inductive charging pads, a standard typically reserved for portable devices. This wireless charging system, which involves Bluetooth for initial localization and UWB for precise alignment, will eliminate the need for human intervention in charging, enabling round-the-clock operation. The FCC's decision, based on Tesla's assurance of short-range, low-power UWB signals shielded by the vehicle's body, paves the way for the mass production of the Cybercab, slated to begin this year.
