SpaceX Bombarded With Lawsuits to Accusing Starship of Damaging Homes 06.05.2026

Hundreds of Texas residents are suing SpaceX, alleging that noise and vibrations from Starship rocket tests have caused significant damage to their homes. Lawsuits filed in Cameron and McLennan counties accuse the company of negligence for failing to assess the risks associated with its Starship rocket launches, which have been characterized by explosive flights and a lack of industry-standard acoustic mitigation measures. Plaintiffs claim their homes are experiencing fractured foundations, compromised structural integrity, shattered windows, and cracked roofs due to the launches. SpaceX's Starship, reportedly generating twice the thrust of NASA's Saturn V, has had eleven launches since April 2023, many ending in explosions or mid-flight breakups, further exacerbating concerns about its impact on surrounding properties.
