The Cyprus Agency Against Drug Abuse and Addiction (CyAAA) held an event at the University of Nicosia for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The President of CyAAA, Dr. Christos Minas, emphasized the need for human-centered policies focusing on prevention, treatment, and social reintegration. During the event, the 2025 annual review was presented, along with the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council in the field of drugs and various programs from collaborating agencies. Critical issues were discussed, such as support for children of incarcerated parents, prevention in school and workplace environments, and the "Life Impact" program. Additionally, a case of successful social reintegration through the mother-child program of the "Agia Skepi" residential therapeutic community was presented, highlighting the importance of comprehensive intervention.
