Hong Kong police arrested Kwan Pui-sin and Tsang Wai-bong on Tuesday on suspicion of child neglect concerning their two-month-old son, Danny. Following the arrest, DNA samples were taken from the parents to aid in the child's birth registration. The Social Welfare Department has secured a court order for Danny's immediate placement in a care home to ensure his safety, with a care plan being developed. Police reported no obvious injuries on the infant after a medical check-up. A lawmaker indicated that the baby could be in the department's care for at least a year, potentially in foster care, until his parents are deemed suitable to regain custody.
