Tour de l’Algarve : « J’ai failli me faire peur… » Paul Seixas aux anges après sa toute première victoire 19.02.2026

French cyclist Paul Seixas, aged 19, secured his first professional victory on Thursday by winning the second stage of the Tour de l’Algarve. Seixas out-sprinted renowned cyclists Juan Ayuso and João Almeida, both of whom have previously achieved podium finishes in Grand Tours. Reflecting on his win, Seixas expressed his elation, crediting his teammates for their excellent work and his ability to time his sprint effectively, despite a narrow finish. He noted that Ayuso and Almeida expended significant energy, allowing him to conserve strength for the final sprint. Seixas now shares the same time as the yellow jersey holder, Juan Ayuso, heading into Friday's time trial, an event he is eager to contest.
