Tragödie in Urlaubsland: Deutsche spurlos verschwunden – Rettungskräfte machen grausigen Fund 22.02.2026

A 50-year-old German tourist, who disappeared on February 14th, was found deceased on February 20th in the mountainous region of León, Spain. A Guardia Civil helicopter located her body in a ravine near Matavenero, a remote hippie village known for its off-grid inhabitants. Rescue specialists from GREIM were involved in the recovery of the body, which was subsequently flown to Bembibre for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The Guardia Civil has initiated an investigation, though initial reports suggest no signs of foul play.
