‘Josie’ enters Philippines as ‘Inday’ death toll rises to 22 14.07.2026

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Tuesday that a new weather disturbance, 'Josie' (international name 'Haishen'), has entered the Philippine area of responsibility. According to PAGASA's 11:00 a.m. bulletin, 'Josie' has weakened into a tropical depression with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph and gusts up to 55 kph. The state weather bureau noted that no tropical cyclone wind signals have been raised, as the storm is "less likely to directly affect the weather condition of the country throughout the forecast period." 'Josie' was located 1,070 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon, moving north northwestward at 25 kph.
