Trump pardons 11 people, including several for Clean Air Act violations 04.07.2026

President Donald Trump issued 11 pardons on Friday, including several for individuals convicted of violating the Clean Air Act by installing or selling "defeat devices" that bypass emissions controls. Trump stated on Truth Social that these individuals were "persecuted by the Biden Administration" and victims of a "weaponized Justice Department," claiming he was "setting them all free." The pardoned individuals include Joshua Davis, who was involved in manufacturing such devices and faced a $600,000 settlement with the EPA, Matt Geouge for conspiracy to violate the Clean Air Act and tax evasion, and Jonathan Achtemeier for tampering with vehicle monitoring devices. Other pardons were granted to Tim Clancy, Ryan and Wade Lalone for disabling emissions controls on semi-trucks, and Barry Pierce, Aaron Rudolf, Adam Kidan, Mackenzie Spurlock, and Jack Harvard.
