The Truth and Reconciliation Commission for the Sámi has been awarded the state prize for information dissemination for its significant work, which brought the historical experiences of the Sámi into public discussion. On December 4, the commission handed over its 700-page final report to Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Inari's Sajos in December 2025. The historical significance of the work was emphasized in the award, and among those recognized were the commission's chairperson Hannele Pokka and commissioners Kari Mäkinen, Anni-Siiri Länsman, Heikki Paltto, and Irja Jefremoff, as well as the commission's six-person secretariat.
