The municipality of Tunis has intensified its fight against the illegal occupation of public space, announcing on Friday, July 3, 2026, the demolition of five kiosks installed without authorization in the Bab Souika district, near the hospitals. Carried out in coordination with the municipal police, this intervention is part of an ongoing campaign aimed at suppressing the anarchic occupation of public roads. According to the municipality, the objective is to enforce regulations governing the use of public space, preserve the safety and aesthetics of the urban environment, and facilitate the movement of pedestrians and motorists.
