Turnstile ex-guitarist arrested in hit-and-run of band singer's father 14h ago

Former Turnstile guitarist Brady O’Brien Ebert, 33, was arrested in Silver Spring, Maryland, on March 31, facing charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault. The arrest stems from a March 29 hit-and-run incident where Ebert allegedly attempted to run over his neighbor, 78-year-old William Yates, the father of Turnstile's lead singer, Brendan Yates. William Yates sustained serious injuries, including a broken leg, after Ebert reportedly swerved his vehicle towards him when Yates intervened to protect his daughter and grandchildren. Security camera footage captured the incident, and Yates reported that Ebert later returned to yell that he "deserved it." This alleged attack follows a pattern of escalating harassment by Ebert towards William Yates since Ebert's departure from the band in August 2022. Ebert is currently held without bail pending a preliminary hearing on May 1.
