Two arrests after quadruple murder in Italy, victims burned alive 03.06.2026

Police in Calabria, southern Italy, have arrested two Pakistani farm laborers on suspicion of brutally murdering four migrant workers by burning them alive in a van. The attack, which took place in Amendolara, was captured by surveillance cameras, with footage showing the perpetrators throwing flammable liquid inside and setting the van on fire, blocking the doors. A fifth man, of Afghan origin, managed to escape by breaking a small window and reported that the victims were three Afghans and one Pakistani who worked in agriculture. The motive appears to be related to unpaid work and coercion, and trade unions and regional leaders condemn the act as a consequence of the harsh conditions for migrant workers.
