The Eighth Office of the First Corporate Provincial Criminal Prosecutor's Office of Arequipa has sentenced two Venezuelan citizens, Yonaiker Rodríguez G. and Endy Zambrano M., for aggravated robbery committed in the district of Alto Selva Alegre. The convicts received sentences of 20 years and 18 years and three months in prison, respectively, following the events that occurred in the early hours of May 21, 2025. During the assault, the criminals used a knife to threaten a young woman and her family, physically assaulting the victim and a neighbor to steal valuables. The subjects were captured following police pursuits, and stolen cell phones and a television were found in their possession. In addition to prison time, both must pay S/ 4,000 in civil reparations and will be deported from Peru after serving their sentences.
