Two killed as US Gulfstream jet crashes in huge fireball en route to Texas 08.06.2026

A U.S.-registered Gulfstream G200 private jet crashed and burst into flames at La Romana International Airport in the Dominican Republic on Sunday while attempting an emergency landing after experiencing severe mechanical problems. The aircraft, which was en route to Austin, Texas, was reportedly about 16 nautical miles southwest of the airport when the crew declared an emergency and turned back. Dramatic footage captured the jet scraping the runway on its rear wheels before bouncing and igniting, tragically killing the pilot and co-pilot, the only individuals believed to have been on board. Dominican aviation authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
