Two members of the Philippine National Police were killed in an ambush in Barangay Tinumiguis, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat, on the evening of Tuesday, July 7, 2026. The victims, identified as Patrolman Pagurayan and Patrolman Bullos, were traveling on a motorcycle when they were targeted by unidentified suspects. According to the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO), the assailants may have used an M16 rifle to carry out the attack. Both officers were assigned to the 1202nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12). Following the shooting incident, local authorities launched an immediate investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the specific motive behind the ambush. The incident has prompted a flash alarm from the provincial police office as they work to resolve the case.
