Typhoon No. 9, a large and very strong storm, is expected to make its closest approach to the Yaeyama region of Okinawa Prefecture between Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th. Typhoon No. 9 developed from a tropical depression known as a 'typhoon egg' on July 1st and is currently maintaining very strong intensity. Additionally, a new 'low-pressure area' has appeared on forecast weather maps, which may develop into a tropical depression or typhoon, necessitating caution regarding future developments. As this low-pressure area is located in waters with high sea surface temperatures, similar to Typhoon No. 9, vigilance is required regarding its potential track and intensification. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) is calling for continuous monitoring and caution regarding the potential formation of new tropical disturbances and the movement of typhoons.
