The UAE has awarded a concession agreement for the Bab Gas Cap project, marking the largest gas cap development globally. Adnoc will retain a 60% stake, while international partners including TotalEnergies, BP, and CNPC International share the remaining 40%. The project is expected to produce 1.5 billion cubic feet of gas per day, accounting for approximately 15% of Adnoc Gas’s total operational processing capacity. This development directly supports the UAE’s strategic goal of achieving gas self-sufficiency by 2030.
