UAE expands visa-on-arrival scheme to citizens of six countries 25.06.2026

The United Arab Emirates has expanded its visa-on-arrival program to include nationals of six countries: Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa. Eligible travellers holding ordinary passports, along with their accompanying family members, can obtain a visa on arrival provided they possess a valid residence permit from one of nine specified countries or regions: the United States, any European Union member state, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada. The initiative offers two visa options: a 14-day visa at a fee of Dh100, which can be extended once while in the UAE, and a 60-day visa at Dh250, which is for a single stay and cannot be extended. Holders must depart upon visa expiry or face an overstay fine of Dh50 per day.
