Ukraine is set to enhance its drone reconnaissance capabilities with the integration of French-developed Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems from Harmattan AI. This advanced radar technology, designed for drones weighing under 150 kg, can penetrate cloud cover and fog, enabling detailed imaging of terrain regardless of weather conditions or time of day. Harmattan AI's CEO, Mouad M’Ghari, confirmed the deployment of these unique sensors in Ukraine, highlighting their ability to achieve resolutions as fine as 0.25 meters at 2 km and 1.2 meters at 10 km, with the radar module weighing less than 3.5 kg. This development follows a strategic partnership announced in October between Harmattan AI and Ukrainian aerospace holding Skyeton, likely leading to the integration of these radars into Skyeton's Raybird drones.
