Ukraine-Krieg:Weitere Sanktionen gegen Moskau 24.02.2026

On the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the British government has imposed its largest sanctions package since the early months of the conflict, signaling continued support for Ukraine. Prime Minister Keir Starmer affirmed the UK's commitment to stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary, commending its "incredible resilience." The new measures are designed to disrupt the financing of the invasion ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Targeted entities include the pipeline giant PJSC Transneft, 175 companies, and 48 oil tankers belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet," which Western intelligence suggests is used to circumvent sanctions. The sanctions also aim to impact companies supplying drone components, as well as banks and firms within the energy sector.
