Umno postpones delegates’ meetings to July to accommodate Johor polls 03.06.2026

The United Malays National Organisation (Umno) has postponed its annual delegates' meetings for divisions and its wings – Wanita, Youth, and Puteri – from their original schedule to July 17-19. This decision was made to allow party members across all levels to concentrate fully on preparations for the upcoming Johor state election. The Johor legislative assembly was dissolved on Monday, initiating a process that will lead to the 16th state election within 60 days. All 56 seats in the Johor legislative assembly are expected to be contested by major political coalitions including Barisan Nasional, Pakatan Harapan, and Perikatan Nasional, with BN previously holding a significant majority.
