Un avion d'Air France baptisé Noirmoutier-en-l'Ile : une idée venue "lors d'un apéro avec des amis" 23.02.2026

Air France has christened an Airbus A350 aircraft "Noirmoutier-en-l'Ile," honoring the French commune. The initiative, which took two years to realize, originated from Antoine Deledalle, an Air France fleet monitoring manager and resident of the island, who was inspired by another Air France plane named after Sables d'Olonne. Initially, an A320 was considered, but its shorter fuselage could not accommodate the full three-word name. The A350, part of Air France's long-haul fleet, aligns with the company's ecological transition by incorporating newer aircraft that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution. The aircraft's inauguration flight took place in November, bound for Conakry.
