On Sunday, February 15th, an Amazon delivery driver became stranded in water near Southend, England, while attempting to reach Foulness Island. The driver followed GPS directions onto the Broomway, a path explicitly prohibited for vehicles due to the risk of getting stuck in mud. This route, managed by defense and security company QinetiQ, is described by the Daily Mail as "Britain's deadliest path," with approximately 100 recorded deaths, the last in 1919. The incident occurred as the tide was rising, but fortunately, the driver was unharmed and was able to exit the van. Amazon, with assistance from a local farmer, later removed the vehicle.
