The incident involved a 25-year-old female driver who lost control of her vehicle and collided with a parapet near a Quick restaurant on Avenue Georges-Durand. The child, who was a passenger in the car, sustained severe head trauma and was transported to Angers University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, February 20th. The driver was also injured and taken to Le Mans Hospital. Authorities are investigating excessive speed and alcohol consumption as potential contributing factors to the crash, though these are yet to be confirmed. The driver has not yet been interviewed due to her medical condition.
