Un remaniement du gouvernement attendu la semaine prochaine, avec notamment le départ de Rachida Dati 21.02.2026

A French government reshuffle is anticipated for next week, potentially delayed by a no-confidence motion from the Rassemblement National (RN) concerning the country's energy roadmap, which the RN argues should be a law rather than a decree. Matignon informed Le Monde on Saturday, February 21st, that the reshuffle would occur after the RN's potential motion, which could be filed on Monday and debated by Wednesday at the earliest. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu intends to proceed with the reshuffle before the municipal election reserve period begins Sunday night, but his office stated that out of respect for Parliament, the government will not be modified before the motion is discussed. At least three ministers are expected to depart: Culture Minister Rachida Dati, who is running for Mayor of Paris; Budget Minister Amélie de Montchalin, appointed to the Court of Auditors and taking office Monday; and Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq, minister for autonomy and disabled persons, who wishes to return to her deputy seat.
