Une ligne de code relance le débat autour de « Half-Life 3 » 18.02.2026

In February 2026, the code "HLX" was discovered in the files of Valve's game Deadlock, reigniting speculation about the long-awaited Half-Life 3. This code had previously appeared in Dota 2 in May 2021 and Counter-Strike 2 in October 2024. Journalist Mike Straw suggested on the Insider Gaming podcast that Half-Life 3 might be a launch title for a new Steam Machine, with a potential release in spring 2026 as part of Valve's hardware strategy. Despite immense fan anticipation since Half-Life 2's 2007 release, Valve has maintained complete silence, offering no announcements during significant events like the saga's anniversary on November 19, 2025, or The Game Awards on December 11, leading to widespread disappointment within the gaming community.
