Six-year-old Dennis Skjørestad died after being hit by a vehicle in Time municipality on June 24. Now, his father, Thomas Skjørestad, is sharing an unexpected message from Erling Braut Haaland and his family on Instagram. Haaland sent a signed national team jersey and a card to the family. In the letter, the Haaland family writes that they sympathize with the family during this difficult time and that they understand Dennis loved football. The father writes that the message gave them goosebumps they have never felt before, and that Dennis would have been proud. The Instagram post has over 17,000 hearts and 1,425 comments. Dennis was struck by a car in a residential area in Kvernaland and died the same day at Stavanger University Hospital. A man in his 40s has been charged with negligent homicide but does not plead guilty.
