Sam Saadeh, of Linden, New Jersey, said he was boarding a June 4 United Airlines flight from Atlanta to Newark Liberty International Airport when a supervisor approached him shortly after he took his seat. Saadeh told CBS New York he was "very confused" when he was pulled aside and told the flight attendant found his shirt offensive. The supervisor gave him two choices: change the shirt or not board the flight. Saadeh ultimately changed shirts to make it home but described the interaction as humiliating, noting airline personnel could not explain why the message violated company policy.
