US economy grew at 2.1% in first quarter 25.06.2026

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released its final first-quarter GDP estimate on Thursday, showing the U.S. economy grew at an annualized rate of 2.1% for the period spanning January through March. This figure exceeded economists' expectations of 1.6% growth, as surveyed by LSEG, and marked an increase from the preliminary estimates. Initially, the BEA reported a 2% growth rate, which was later revised down to 1.6% in the first revision, before the final reading bounced back.
