US soccer legend Abby Wambach dumps agency, calls for CEO's resignation over emails with Ghislaine Maxwell 11.02.2026

U.S. women's national soccer team legend Abby Wambach has announced her departure from the Wasserman Agency, citing founder and CEO Casey Wasserman's flirtatious emails with Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003, which were revealed in recent Department of Justice releases. Wambach stated her decision was based on her values and that she would not continue under Wasserman's leadership, also calling for his resignation. Several other artists, including Chappell Roan, also left the agency over the same correspondence. Wasserman has expressed deep regret for the emails, claiming they occurred before Maxwell's crimes came to light and that he never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, though he did travel on Epstein's plane in 2002. Wasserman has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
