Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Anh Cuong and his colleagues at the Geophysics Department have participated in numerous field surveys, from the former Kon Tum province to Binh Duong, and most recently at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City. Ground-penetrating radar operates using electromagnetic waves; when it encounters an anomaly, it returns a signal, helping experts identify locations with signs of burial sites. However, the search is complicated by the passage of decades, as soil and bone structures tend to merge and decompose.
