TechTuber Epictronics successfully repaired a vintage 20-inch Apple-branded Sony Trinitron CRT monitor, model GDM‑20E01, which suffered from a "cataract issue" caused by delaminating glass bonding. Instead of a risky heat gun method to remove the front layer, Epictronics employed a less invasive technique, injecting UV-curable resin into the air gaps using a syringe. This method, requiring patience and periodic needle heating for resin flow, effectively filled the unsightly pockets, making them unobservable from a normal viewing distance. The repair, documented in a video, was deemed "mega-successful," preserving a premium display from the mid-1990s that supported resolutions up to 1,280 x 1,024 pixels and weighed approximately 66 pounds (30kg).
