The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment has allocated 500 million rupees to the Department of Livestock Services to provide compensation to farmers affected by bird flu. The Ministry provided the amount to the Department for the distribution of compensation for birds, eggs, and feed destroyed in 11 districts where bird flu was confirmed. The Department had requested the funds from the Ministry to distribute relief compensation to farmers who suffered economic losses due to bird flu.
