Vetternwirtschaft in der AfD: Holm fordert Einzelfallprüfungen 22.02.2026

AfD politician Leif-Erik Holm has called for transparency and individual case reviews regarding allegations of nepotism within the party, stating that clarifying each instance is "the order of the hour." Holm acknowledged that while many employment cases may be legally sound, a closer examination is necessary to ensure the most qualified candidates were selected. He emphasized that the party must demonstrate transparency to the public, especially given the AfD's initial platform of being an alternative to established parties free from cronyism. Holm suggested that the difficulty in finding suitable staff for parliamentary positions might lead to individuals being hired from within their own circles, but stressed that this must be demonstrably justified by the candidates' qualifications. The party leadership, including chairman Tino Chrupalla, has admitted to a "bad taste" surrounding these appointments, underscoring the need for thorough investigation and public disclosure to mitigate potential damage to the party's image.
