His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail, visited the fully completed Fujairah passenger station, the first on the Etihad Rail network. During the visit, they reviewed the planned passenger services and progress on related development projects in Qidfa. Adhraa Almansoori, Director of Public Policy and Sustainability at Etihad Rail, stated that passenger services will launch in gradual phases beginning in 2026, starting with a route connecting Abu Dhabi and Dubai, extending to Fujairah. This route selection was determined by population density, demand levels, and inter-emirate connectivity priorities, aiming for high safety and efficiency standards.
