Vietnam expected to have over 10,100 km of highways by 2050 14.07.2026

The Ministry of Construction has approved adjustments to the Road Network Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, aiming to develop the national highway network to approximately 10,105 km. The plan includes 46 highway routes distributed across key regions. The East-side North-South longitudinal axis is approximately 2,160 km long, ranging from 4 to 12 lanes, connecting the Huu Nghi border gate (Lang Son) to Dat Mui (Ca Mau). The West-side longitudinal axis is approximately 1,250 km long, ranging from 4-6 lanes, connecting Tuyen Quang to An Giang.
