International arrivals to Việt Nam hit new record in first five months of 2026 03.06.2026

Việt Nam has set a new record for international arrivals, welcoming 10.6 million visitors in the first five months of 2026, a nearly 15% increase from the previous year. Air travel accounted for the majority of arrivals at 8.7 million, while road and sea travel also saw significant growth. This surge in tourism has boosted related revenues, with accommodation and food services generating an estimated VNĐ400.4 trillion (US$15.2 billion). Russia and the Philippines were the fastest-growing source markets, with arrivals increasing by 194% and 71% respectively. The Việt Nam National Authority of Tourism attributes this success to political stability, diverse attractions, competitive costs, and expanded visa policies, positioning the country well to meet its annual target of 25 million visitors.
