Vietnamese, Indian leaders witness exchange of various deals 06.05.2026

Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi oversaw the signing of numerous cooperation agreements in New Delhi on Wednesday. These accords span critical sectors including digital technology, pharmaceutical management, cultural exchange programs (2026-2030), tourism, and sister-city relationships between Ho Chi Minh City and Mumbai. Further agreements were made in public auditing, financial and technological cooperation with a focus on payment systems and digital innovation, and educational partnerships involving political academies, universities, and research institutions. The signings underscore the deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2016, which has seen bilateral trade approach $15-16 billion annually and aims to expand collaboration into new areas like artificial intelligence and clean energy.
