Vigilances crues prolongées ce dimanche dans onze départements 22.02.2026

Météo-France has extended red flood alerts through Monday for three departments: Loire-Atlantique, Charente-Maritime, and Maine-et-Loire, due to persistent high water levels. Eight other western departments remain under orange alert, though a drying trend is anticipated to facilitate receding waters. Notably, Angers and Saintes have experienced record flood levels, with Angers's reaching a peak comparable to December 1982 and Saintes stabilizing near historic highs from January 1961 and 1994. The forecast indicates calmer, drier weather from Sunday through mid-week, allowing for continued decreases in upstream river levels and the propagation of receding floodwaters downstream.
