Doris Foong, a 58-year-old executive director, downsized to a future-ready four-room HDB flat in Bishan, prioritizing space for her collection of rare Chinese furniture and antiques acquired during her years living in China. She shares the 1,000 sq ft unit with a domestic helper and a rescued tabby cat. Her main requirements were a large bedroom and a closed-off dining area for privacy. Designer Zach from Lush Interior Design proposed a simple, modern look to balance the ornate furniture, removing one of the three original bedrooms to expand the master suite and dining area.
