Việt Nam seeks to expand fruit exports to China through quality and value 14.07.2026

Despite strong performance, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to China have considerable room for expansion, according to industry experts. However, this growth depends on Vietnamese producers improving product quality, traceability, processing capacity, and logistics to meet China's increasingly stringent import requirements. China is Vietnam's largest agricultural export market, with fruit and vegetable exports reaching about $5.5 billion last year, accounting for 64% of Vietnam's total exports of these products. In the first half of this year, exports to China were estimated at $1.87 billion, representing 51.2% of total fruit and vegetable export value. Vietnam is China's second-largest supplier of fruits and vegetables, holding a 22.55% market share, with about 20 products approved for official export.
